Our campsite was down on the water. While it was super hot in the day it was cool and breezy at night.
Setting up the telescope for tonight's viewing of the sky. Working on the Astronomy belt loop. He was very popular with the other boys. I am glad God gave him a generous sharing heart. They all had a great time. The BSA Swim Test. You must jump in feet first in water over your head and then swim non-stop 3 laps of the pool with any strong stroke, no doggy paddling and on the 4th lap do the back stroke. Then float for 30 seconds and your classified a swimmer. It is a hard test. Some of the boys tire out along the way. If you make 2 laps then you're classified a beginner, less than that and you're a non-swimmer. For each level this determines where you can swim. FYI: Adults also must take the test. You can always retake the test. They teach boys to swim and the Aquanuat badge.
This is Geology class. There were alot of rock hounds here. Now, thanks to Pack 1202 and our own Mr. Boos, Faithful already had a great collection of rocks started. In fact, he had such a good collection he was able to trade with the instructor for something he didn't have. He was able to discuss at great length with him about rocks. I credit Mr. Boos for generously sharing his knowledge.
Fishing class. Faithful is studying hard and ready to fish. He earned his Fishing belt loop.
